Speed issues in SSRS 2008 report from Oracle
Unfortunately, we do need the CLOB data. Diane Thompson

We are running SSRS 2008 R2 on a SQL Server 2003 install. We have a large report that takes about 2 minutes to run in ReportManager. We have put the main queries in views on the Oracle side, and are using stored procs as much as we can. We suspect a table with a large amount of CLOBS may be one of the remaining issues. Any input on possible speed increases or handling CLOBS would be welcome!

Are you using the CLOB data in the report? If not, try removing the CLOB columns from the procedures. If so, you may be at mercy to the volume of the CLOB data being returned.
