Specific Repeating Header question
Hi All, I have a specific example for when repeating headers is not working for me. It won't work when I have a row that spans mulitple pages. I do not know why this won't work. This is my grouping tree: Dynamic Static Dyanmic Static Static Details Static What I want is for the Static column headers above the Details grouping to repeat on each new page. But I also want to set my individual rows in my details grouping to be able to span multiple pages. Do these two options conflict? I know how repeating headers and those settings work on all the rest of my reports, but I can not get this situation to work correctly. It is either one or the other. Thanks, Justin

Forgot to add, if I set the KeepTogether property of the detail row in the properties menu to True it repeats the headers on each page but makes it so a row can't span two pages. If I set the property to false it lets the rows span multiple pages, but doesn't repeat headers. This is a very time-sensitive question, with a report holding back a release because of this issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Justin

Hi Hapazoid, I could reproduce the scenario you posted. And, from my research, it is true that we cannot set these two options at the same time. That is because there is no built-in feature to support repeating static column headers you mentioned on multiple pages. It can only show on current page. However, I really think it is a necessary feature for Reporting Services. I suggest you to submit a wish at https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/ . And if there are more demands on this, our engineers will take it into consideration. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase the level of service provided. We appreciate your understanding. Thanks, Lola Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help.
