Space used for Sharepoint Site
This question must have been asked before but I could not find a good enough thread so posting here. I have a requirement to 1. To show the space used by a site (not site collection) as a in a custom web part on the site. 2. Send an alert if the space used exceeds a given threshold. 3. Put a quota limit on a site just like sharepoint allows on a site collection OOB. I am using Moss 2007 Would apprerciate any directions on the same. Thanks, siaj

siaj, You cannot put a quota used by a sharepoint subsite. You can monitor storage for site collection and subsites. You can monitor the storage space for documents, lists and recyclebin. You can access the usage report of site collection by appending the following to the Url. /_layouts/storman.aspx. V

Thanks V ! I am aware of the fact that we can specify quota limits on Sharepoint only at Sitecollection level. I was wondering if it someone has done programatically at subsite level in addition to keeping a measure of space used currently by a subsite. I am OK even if it is possible on Sharepoint 2010. Thanks, siaj
