Some updates not showing up in SCCM 2007 - WSUS 3.0 sp2 is installed
Hello Anoop, yes, i double checked, and our settings are just as described in the link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632893.aspx I looked at eh wysncmgr.log and didn't see any errors. it shows that it is pulling down all categories of patches that we've specified in our software update point settings within SCCM. Oddly enough, if i search for the patch in wsus console directly, the patches are there showing as not approved. if i right-click on them and manually approve them in wsus, then they'll show up in sccm after a 'run synchronization' or a scheduled sync is performed in sccm.Christopher Gatling Lan Administrator Baltimore, MD.

The appropriate products and classifications are selected ? Check the wsyncmgr.log for more details about any errors in the sync process. Or else as mentioned by John manually initiate another sync?Anoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I inherited duties of patching machines from a SCCM 2007 r2 sp2 server that was built by a previous admin. Patching to devices monthly is seemless. However, we noticed recently that some patches (that the software update point is configured for) are searchable in Wsus, but are not searchable in sccm. If i manually approve an update in the wsus console(i've read that no configuration should happen within the wsus console), it will eventually show up in sccm after a subsuquent synchronization within sccm. To remedy this, will i have to uninstall wsus/uninstall software update point in sccm/reinstall wsus (don't do config wizard page)/then reinstall software update point in sccm?Christopher Gatling Lan Administrator Baltimore, MD.

You don't need to approve it from WSUS to get that appeared in SCCM console. Did you check the below configurations are correct or not (as mentioned in the technet artcile)? Also, check the wsyncmgr.log if there is any error or not? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632893.aspxAnoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. You are correct, it can never hurt to just uninstal and reinstall. I always blow away the WSUS db as part of the process. The initial sync will take some time. Before you do all of that make sure the product and classification of the update you need is selected in SCCM. If it's not you won't see it in SCCM.
