Some Software Metering Reports do not run

Hi,

I want to run a Report in the Software Metering category but some of them are giving errors.

The reports   *  Computers that have run a specific metered software program

                    *  Users that have run a specific metered software program

give the following error

There is an error in XML document (1, 14150).

On the other hand the reports   * Software metering summarization progress

                                              * Install base for all software metered software programs

are running fine as of the rest of my reports.

Can anyone help me.

Thanks

Just run the query using SQL Management Studio. I guess that there's a "special" character in one of the columns that does break SRS. That's not a solution but you can give it a try though.

Thanks for your answer Torsten,

I was ill last days so sorry for my late reaction.

I'm not sure how I can check this in SQL Man. Studio. Can you explain how to run the query? (and how to obtain the used query)

Thanks

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

CM12 SP1 has a fix for this type of error. If it is still not fixed then open a support case with CSS. They will work with you it solve this problem.

I've hit a similar issue with the Software Metering reports but with a slightly different XML error. I had the 'automatically create disabled metering rules from recent usage inventory data' option enabled.

I enabled the rules I required and created some custom rules and then disabled the 'automatically create ....' setting and deleted the disabled rules.

From that point on I am no longer getting the XML errors when attempting to run the Software Metering reports.
