Software updates not appearing in software center

Hi everyone,

You've might seen some of my posts lately asking for help, well I am not done! I won't be talking about the other issues I'm having. This post is about requesting your help to try and understand why my Windows 8.1 doesn't see my software update group.

Things I did :

  1. SUP catalog sync'ed
  2. Create a software update group-->Download--> Create deployment & point it to my collection(Show all notification and display in Software Center)-->ASAP schedule

Now the first question, I did a Software Update scan run now, have been waiting for days and my updates still doesn't appear anywhere. From my understanding, the software update should appear first in Software Center, then once installed it disapears from the Software Center. In my case, the software updates aren't showing up in Software Center. With the deployment monitoring tools, I am able to see the name of my deployment ''Client montlhy patch for month X'', however I don't see the software in Software center and they aren't being installed when I check in installed updates.

After all the troubleshooting done, 1 software update did appear once in software center then I wasn't able to make another appear. I am able to receive other packages from SCCM, I can ping WSUS server which is configured as my SUP.

Thank you

Well update will only appear in the software center depending on the deployment option you selected.

In the deployment if you go to the User Experience section. Make sure you have Display in Software center and show all notification.

Also if you did say ASAP to the the to the deadline they might already be installed.

Look at the following log if you need more info about the update

UpdatesDeployment.log
UpdatesHandler.log
ScanAgent.log
WUAHandler.log
UpdatesStore.log
%windir%\WindowsUpdate.log
