Software Updates Failing on Task Sequence - Exceeded max server round trips: 0x80244010

I'm having a strange issue and I was hoping to get some resolution on it.

I have a brand new ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP2 environment.  I'm working on building Windows 7 task sequences for both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7 operating systems.  I have a custom built Win 7 images with all updates applied with the exception of the July 2015 updates.  During the task sequence it is applying an update group with just the July 2015 Win7 updates.

When deploying Windows 7 with the 64 bit image I am encountering an issue where it will not sync with the server to determine what updates are needed during the Apply Updates step in the task sequence.  After the task sequence is complete it will scan and download and install updates successfully.  This only effects the 64 bit system.  Any ideas?

Below is the except where it fails in the WindowsUpdate.log

Thank you this fixed my issue.  I added a second "Install Updates" step and that worked.
