Software Metering Processor failed
Hi Frns,
i found the below error in site status >componets status , i checked some of the machines and the time is matching with site server, but for many machines it is showing the possible reason is time mismatch, how to reslove this, and also my client
compliance is going down day by day. even the client exists in the machine . please help me .
MS_SOFTWARE_METERING_PROCESSOR 5614 SMS Software Metering Processor failed to process the usage file "0WKBECYO.MUX" for client "XXXXXX" because a record contained a bad usage start or end time value. Usage times are rejected if the start
time is greater than the end time, the end time is in the future, or the end time is more than 90 days old. Possible cause: The clock on the client computer is not accurate or has been recently changed. Solution: Reset the time
on the client computer to the current time. Problem: The time on the SMS Site Server is incorrect. Solution: Reset the time on the SMS Site Server to the current time.

I have seen this issue long back in my environment but didnt remeber the solution what i did to make it work.
There are three reasons for this status message:
1. The Metering agent on the client is reporting that a process ran at some time and then ended at some other time, but this end time is earlier than the start time. This will happen if the client has adjusted its clock. From then on, the reports should be
correct again, unless the client clock has been adjusted again. Read the rest Via
