Slow access with IE9 and WSS3
Hi All, I've upgrade to IE9 (Windows 7 64bit with Office 2010 Ent) and since then my connectivity with wss3 sites/libs are very slow when working with Explorer view or viewing a site as a network place in Explorer view. It takes more than a minute to navigate between folders. When downgrading back to IE8, this issue disappeared. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot in advance

AFAIK, the slow behaviour usually because the "Automatically detect settings" for Proxy Settings in your Internet Settings of IE, turned on. It happens on my PC, and on some of my colleague's PC when using varying type of IE. May vary on every environment, including yours. Technically I don't know what happens when it slows down, but for sure, the IE is searching for proxy settings. On a small office, you wouldn't felt the difference. But with a big office, with so many PC's, with complex proxy and routing configuration, you'll feel the difference. Uncheck that option, to make your browser faster when browsing into the doclib folders. Hope it helps.
