Site server computer account admin right to remote SQL server
I have setup a test domain with 1 DC, 1 SCCM server(CONFIG), and 1 remote SQLserver(SQL). (All machines Windows Server 2003) During the Installation Prerequisite Check, I receive no errors except for: "Site server computer account administrative rights". I installed SQL with the same domain user account that I am trying to install SCCM (cmadmin). This account is a domain admin. This account has been granted sysadmin permissions on the SQL server instance. I have granted local admin rights for SQL to: Domain Admins cmadmin CONFIG The error still appears. I even made CONFIG a domain admin. No luck. I also tried using a SPN by following these guidelines: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb735885.aspx. No luck. If anyone has any ideas, please do not hesitate to respond. Thanks.

Is it possible you have duplicate SID's for your machines from imaging? Those sometimes are hard to track down and are not the first things that get checked.

Well, that thought did cross my mind, so I ran syspep on the SQL server and rejoined it to the domain. Same error.

OK, we are running short of ideas here. You registered the NetBIOS and FQDN SPN then?

Yes, I registered both the NetBIOS and the FQDN.

Humor me. On the SQL server from a command prompt: Brute force command line method: net localgroup administrators CONFIG /add And try again.

Hi,I do not know about the implications, but I have put the SSCM computer account into the Local Administrators Group at my SQL Server and it has worked. This is my virtual lab and I am doing some tests on it.Cheers,Thiago

Thanks! This is the first solution that works! Under Local Administrator Group of SQL Server, I add my SCCM Computer account (DomainName\MySccmPC) and it works! Only PKI Infrastructure bugs and SCCM will be ready to work.
