Site collection deleted No IIS backup
Hello I really hope someone can help me out?
A site collection has been deleted by mistake, I then find out that there is no IIS backup only a content DB backup.
I have restored the previous content DB and am able to access all sites except those in the missing site collection? How do I recreate the IIS webpage to access the deleted content. ( I can see that the content is still in the DB using sql manager so I think
just the sites in iis were deleted not the content db)
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thank you for your advise Patrick, but I do not have a .bak file to rely on, my predessessor in the job failed to ensure that the correct permissions where applied to the backup scripts! I guess its my fault for assuming the backup script was working.
all I have is a restore of the SQL content DB, I have offlined the current DB and loaded up sharepoint with the restored DB, if I create a new web app how do I create a site collection that points to the sql DB with the missing data?
