Site Collection Usage Summary: No Data Available
Usage analysis processing is enable for my farm in both Central Administration and in the SSP.
I've checked TImer Job Status and the three timer jobs responsible for doing the log analsis are all running.
I've also checked the log file locations and the log files are being generated.
Yet when I browse the "Site collection usage summary" report (SpUsageSite.aspx) I get the following:
No data is available for this report. Usage analysis might have been enabled only recently, or there might have been insufficient usage to result in any values for the report.
My farm is running 2007 Enterprise SP2 (12.0.0.6421).
Can someone confirm if this issue was fixed with one of the CU's that were issues post-SP2?

My understanding is that you had followed the steps in
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262541(office.12).aspx
or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825541 , however, still cannot view the report and get the error message as you had pasted.
Can you see log files in the log file location you had specify in Central Administration ->Operations->Usage Analysis Processing?
And can you see records in tables such as ANLHit in SharedServices database (those tables with name begin with ANL, I had not seen published documents about this, just guess, you may search Published
SharePoint Protocol online to find details). Since query production database is not supported, you can back up your SharedServices database and restore it into production environment.
And according to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263478(office.12).aspx , you shall make sure that the WSS_WPG
group has read, write and update permission to the log file directory.
And according to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261966(office.12).aspx , membership in the Administrators
group on the local server computer, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete the procedure to enable usage analysis.

Hello Gu Yuming,
Yes I've followed the steps in those articles to configure analysis processing.
Yes there are logfiles being written to the "logfiles" folder as specified in Central Admin
No there is no data in the ANLHit table in the SSP database.
Yes the WSS_WPG has the required permissions to the "logfiles" folder.
Yes membership in the local administrators group has already been granted.
Any suggestion on how to fix this issue?

Sorry for the long delay, what about the current situation?
Since you can see log files created and no records in the ANLHit table, it looks like there was something wrong with the execution of the three timer jobs you had
mentioned.
Usage Analysis Daily
Office SharePoint Usage Analytics Log Import Daily
Office SharePoint Usage Analytics Processing Minutes
I am not sure they are the only timer jobs involved, so could you please enable all the timer job in your testing environment?
Can you find any relevant error message in the ULS log?
I had also find some similar incident in our internal database. What follows are some excerpts:
CAUSE:
================
The customer moved their Usage Analysis logging location to somewhere other than
default. In this case it was E:\V3_Usage_Logs. They did not add the correct NTFS
permissions to this folder for the WSS_WPG group.
RESOLUTION:
================
1. Compare their NTFS permissions with what you have for "C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS" on your server. Odds are
they haven't added the WSS_WPG group. Add full control to this folder for the
WSS_ADMIN_WPG and WSS_WPG groups. Also make sure there are no groups here that
have any Deny permissions.
2. Verify that the users running the application pools for each SharePoint web
application are members of the WSS_WPG group, and that the user running the central
administration application pool is a member of WSS_ADMIN_WPG.
3. Make sure that the folder you specify for Usage Analysis Logs (Central Admin |
Operations | Usage Analysis Processing) exists in the same location on each
SharePoint server in the farm. Repeat steps 1 and 2 on each server in the farm.
MORE INFORMATION:
====================
The folder you specify for Usage Analysis Logs should contain a <GUID> folder for
each web application you have. For example, if you go to Central Administration |
Application Management | Web Application List, and click on a web application, the
id (or GUID) for the web application will be displayed in the IE address bar:
http://m60:5555/_admin/applications.aspx?WebApplicationId=eb4d0ba8%2D1ba0%2D4616%2Da
a9b%2Dc7e43f9814a4
Just take everything after WebApplicationID= and replace each occurrence of "%2D"
with a dash "-" and you now you have the GUID for the web application, which should
be one of the folder names in your Usage Analysis Logs directory. The folder name
for my example would be "eb4d0ba8-1ba0-4616-aa9b-c7e43f9814a4".
Once you have permissions set correctly on the Usage Analysis Logs folder, you
should see the <GUID> folders start appearing in that folder.
If the <GUID> folders exist and there are date subfolders within them, and the date
folders contain usage log files, but you still have no usage reports, you probably
have a problem with the usage processing, and not the logging. Make sure that
processing is enabled in (Central Admin | Operations | Usage Analysis Processing)

I've checked the timer jobs. They're all running daily and without error. (Central Admin says "Succeeded").
The location of the log files has not been moved, we're using the default location. We've got one server in the farm and the NTFS permissions have already been checked. The log file location contains the subfolder with GUID names and these subfolders all
have .log files in them.
Checked to make sure processing is enabled and it is.
Any other ideas?
