Site Collection Error
When installing WSSv3 i found that by filling in the AD account part of the install i am unable to create a site collection, but if i ignore this option during installation i am then able to create the site collection. What are the consequences of leaving the AD account part out of the installation, and if i need this option how do i resolve the issue of not being able to create a site collection.

Hi, Here are several questions about your situation: 1. What is the AD account part of installation you mentioned? Is it the “Specify database access account” section of SharePoint Configuration Wizard? 2. What’s the error message when you create a site collection? 3. What installation type did you choose? Thanks & Regards.Lily Wu

The account part is the Enable Active Directory Account Creation. I then input the domain name and ou unit. Then when i try and create a site i receive the error message: The page cannot be displayed because your servers current configuration does not support it. To perform this task, use the command line operations in stsadm.exe.
