Site Collection Creation on a Farm
Just running through moving standalone install to a farm install and found on the farm creation that if i ignore the AD account creation section within setup that i am able to create a site collection, but if i fill the section in when installing i can create a web application but not the Site Collection, all i receive is "The page cannot be displayed because your servers current configuration does not support it"? My question is, if i ignore the AD account part of the install to enable me to create the site collection, what will the consequences be further down the line?

Hi, Did you use AD accounts in your old standalone farm? If no, please create a new site collection using stsadm –o createsite and then try again.
