Single content Database Run Multiple WebApplications

Hi,

How to add Single content database with two web applications,Please let me know step by step process.

How many ways it possible.

You can create a web application from an existing database, so if you created one web app and then another with the same database name SharePoint may accept this, but it would cause a ton of proplems and be pointless.

If you want two IIS sites, ie. two addresses, you could extend your web app.   http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261698(v=office.14).aspx

You cannot have two web applications within one Content Database. It is a fundamental design assumption that cannot be broken.

Two web applications cannot share a content database. It is as per design.
I am not sure what you want to achieve with this but if you want to expose the same web application with two url say one for internet and one for intranet you can extend the web application to two different zones.
This will create more web sites in IIS. You can then manage the two IIS web sites using host header and AAM.
