Single agent connected to multiple servers, NON-Hyper-V

Hello,

I would like to hear from Microsoft officials, is my scenario supported or not:

I have a SCDPM 2012 R2 UR2 (let's name it DPM1). I have an SQL Server 2008 R2 fail-over cluster (SQL1). I have a database (DB1) on that cluster which I back-up with DPM1.

I have another SQL 2008 R2 fail-over cluster (SQL2), which I backup with DPM2 (another 2012 R2 UR2 box). I want to restore backups of DB1 to SQL2.

At both nodes of SQL2 I run "SetDpmServer.exe -Add -dpmServerName DPM1". I attach SQL2 to DPM1. From now on I can restore backups from DPM1 to SQL2 directly and continue to backup SQL2 with DPM2.

Is it supp

Hi,

Does it work - yes.  Is it supported - No.  Meaning if you call support for problems associated with multiple DPM Servers agents on the same cluster nodes, we will not support you until you remove access to one of them.
