Hi, I suspect this to be a very obvious question so apologies in advance.... , I'm hardening some Windows 2012 r2 servers with EMET 5.1 settings following CIS guidelines.  I'm using group policies to replicate the EMET settings. After applying the GPO the registry keys appear and update on the target machines.  My simple question is whether the hardening will be effective if the EMET application itself is not installed on the target machines - ie will the reg keys just be ignored?
