Show measure at higher level on detail level report
I am very new to MDX and am trying to create a report that shows some measures at the detail level and another measure at a higher level. e.g.
Products Fiscal year 2011/Fiscal Period 1 Fiscal YTD
A £100
£1420
B £200 £2865
C £175
£1568
This is not a great example but we have the revenue earned on certain products for period 1 in the 2011 financial year, but at the same time we want to show the YTD of the financial year also. How do we acomplish this in MDX
ThanksTim

Hi Tim,
You can use YTD function in MDX, Ytd is frequently used in combination with no parameters specified, meaning that the
CurrentMember (MDX) function will display a running cumulative year-to-date total in a report, as shown in the following query:
WITH MEMBER MEASURES.YTDDEMO AS
AGGREGATE(YTD(), [Measures].[Internet Sales Amount])
SELECT {[Measures].[Internet Sales Amount], MEASURES.YTDDEMO} ON 0,
[Date].[Calendar].MEMBERS ON 1
FROM [Adventure Works]
If you have any question about MDX next time, Analysis services forum
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlanalysisservices/threads which is a better place to support this aspect issue, you will receive more replies.
