Show like button beside documents
I have a set of presentations, and I want the user to be able to like or dislike a presentation, much like a youtube video, but I want to show it beside each document. How would I do that?

Why not using the rating feature? You can go to list settings, rating settings. This way users will be able to do same thing and meet requirement that you have.
