Sharing a folder with a private URL (e.g. like Google drive), using SP/Off365

Greetings all,

How can i share a folder in SharePoint/ODFB in a way where you can not see the actual path, and figure out what else is stored.

Right now i get this structure:

https://contoso.sharepoint.com/customerportal/Shared%20documents/clients/Ford
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/customerportal/Shared%20documents/clients/Toyota
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/customerportal/Shared%20documents/clients/BMW

So it would be pretty simple for "Ford" to test out and see i e.g. "Mazda" is a client too.

I need a similar function like what you can see on Google Drive, Copy.Com, Dropbox and more:
Where you can get a ULR, which is not password protected. But so long and cryptic that it would be hard for clients to guess the link for folders which they don't have access to.

Is that posibel, and if so how?

Thanks in advance, Otto

What you're describing isn't quite true. If you've set your permissions up correctly then a user who as access to the 'Ford' folder doesn't have to be able to see that there even is a Toyota folder. That's straight out of the box stuff.

You can also use Document IDs to obscure the path within the site collection.
