Sharepoint web sites prompting for credentials and Event ID 27745
We have a roblem with a WSS setup on a 2008 R2 server.
It is very simple install with 1 site and default settings.
Recently users have complained they cannot access the site and they are prompted to enter credentials when browsing to it. I am also unable to access the administration site.
Event ID 27745 is repeatedly appearing in the application log but no other logs obviously relating to SharePoint or the SQL instance.

I am able to browse the SQL instance using management studio.
I have tried running the upgrade /force command and followed KB934838 but with no results. WSS 3.0 SP2 is installed.

Hi,
According to your description, I guess your database SharePoint_Config had a large file, you need to truncate
this and then run a windows SharePoint Timer Service restart.
Please have a try.
