Hi!! I created a site collection on port 80,with discussion board workspace and also added blog to it.I found that site is working good when accessed on local network.When i access over VPN,for discussion board when i try to add new item to discussion board i can add ,cancel ,but when i open that item it takes very long to open it then it says IE(explorer cannot display this page.When i click on more in formation it says your site may be unavailable or it cannot resolve DNS or it may have error. I am accessing my site from browser over VPN.. MY SITE URL IS :http://serverIP/personal/obieet/default.aspx I login using my SERVERNAME(local)\USERName,i can see calender,list,library,i can upload document but does not work for Discussion board.It tries to search for it then it cannot resolve that link for discussion board. I can access it from my LAN.All the features work good.Does it problem due to VPN or database time out.? I am using database Servername\officeserver(it is windows recommended).. Please let me know if any one faced this issue.I created this site collection on port .Application pool it newtwork services predefined.Also zone is default. I do not know if it has to do with Alternate acess maping? Thank you!!!
