Sharepoint site performing badly after site collection restore.

Hi,

I have used  CA to backup a sitecollection. this site collection has 4-5 list view web parts per page and a large list with total 45000 items but in containers. The site backup works fine and completes in few minutes , after the backup is successful , I use the same backup file for the restore on the same site collection.

The restore takes long time but completes successfully. Below is the restore command I use.

Restore-SPSite https://Parag-dev/sites/TestRestore/ -Path "\\f:\files\Testing\Dev.bak" -force -GradualDelete

After restore , the large list that has 45000 items , loads too slowly and for every click on each list item , it takes around 20-25 seconds and also the pages that contains list view web part pointing to this large lists loads in a same way.

However post few hours (5-6 hrs) of restore , the loading time is reduced to normal which is 8-10 seconds.

Could anyone advise why after restore (-spsite) the pages / lists loads slowly , what could be the reason for this performance hit ? and how it can be fixed ?

Is it because of the large content database size or restoring the site to itself or some other constraints ?
