Hi i am sharepoint newbie.i was trying to configure forms authentication.and bumped onto configuring it for ssp admin site. after doing it all.ssp admin did show me fba login and i cud login as well... but sumhow im not able to access these links under "User Profiles and My sites" i.e User Profiles and properties Personalization services permissions are two of those tht show access denied error. i hv searched net for long set administrators of the site but just doesnt work any ideas here?

Hi, According to your description, in my opinion, here are some comments, please check: 1. Don’t call you SSP the same name as the AppPool you use for the SSP Admin Site. 2. The SSP actually uses its name to create an AppPool for use under the Office Search Site. 3. If your SSP Admin AppPool is the same name then MOSS sets it to use the timer svc account. 4. If your hosting then call the SSP Admin AppPool 'Company – SSP Admin' and the actual SSP 'Company - SSP'. This will stop MOSS clobbering the accounts. Best Regards David Hu
