Is there any sharepoint server available in internet from where I can take the API references while performing cusomized development in ASP.net

You have to include SharePoint dll MIcrosoft.SharePoint.dll from 12 hive C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\ISAPI folder
