Sharepoint on Windows server2008 R2
Hi I am using windows server 2008 R2 with MOSS 2007, SQL 2008 all 64 bit. Everything is good .Office 2007 installed. When I go to any document library click New to create a document, word open up and when I try to save it back to the document library I cannot find my SharePoint document library in save in dialog box. If I copy and paste url in to the dialog box I cannot save it to the doc library Any help will be really appreciated. Since I m battling with this issue from a long time, I even built new machine but the same error.Unlike other dev env I am using least privilege multiple accounts for each service. Please help. Thanks

Hmm, hard to say. I have SP2010, SPF2010, and MOSS2007 all running on the same laptop concurrently on W2K8R2 w/SQL2008 (all 64-bit), and this doesn't happen. However, I only use Office 2010 and have not used Office 2007 in 6 months or so.SharePoint Architect || My Blog

Try installing the "Desktop Experience" feature on your windows server 2008. After a restart you will be able to save from word to sharepoint.Regards,JeroenMy blog on WSS / MOSS development is found at http://jebass.blogspot.com

Hey Clayton Does your machine has sharepoint configured using least privillage or you just use one account to configure every thing . I think it has some thing to do with the permissions in SQL server or web dev .last time you this issue was solved with desktop exp but that was win 2008 .Now its R2 .

I have least privileges in place on a 8-machine (7 VHDs, 6 VHD servers) environment running 3 separate SharePoint farms concurrently with Kerberos. VHDs:- SQL Server- AD/DNS server- SP2010 WFE- SP2010 App- SPF2010 WFE/App- MOSS WFE/App- Win7 64-bit + Office 2010 64-bitHost:- W2K8R2 w/Office 2010 64-bitOnly 2 of the machines have Office, but both are 2010 and both work.SharePoint Architect || My Blog

Hey Clayton finally I find out that if I have webdav publishing feature installed on my web server IIS Role Service , it creates the issue above . after removing webdav publishing feature its working fine now and I can save my docs straight in to the doc library from word . Thanks .
