Sharepoint document issue when access from outside the domain
Hi, I have a sharepoint site in this I have a documnet library,when i Send the document from the my documnet library to the cline from the mail. On client side whenever he try to open the documnet from the mail he get pop-up for username and password. Can we avoid this prompt on the client side. Thnaks in advance Sanjeev Tiwari

If the client isn't a member of the domain that SharePoint is in then there really is no way to avoid the login pop-up. Paul Stork SharePoint Server MVP

Hi, Thanks to share your post in this forum. For the problem you have come across, do you mean the pop-up always appears? And after login the account; can you get access to the SP site’s document? If yes, you may delete the connections settings in the email, then the pop-up will not come up. If you just want to avoid logging in every time you open the document, I’m afraid that you cannot achieve this. Hope this could help you! Leo

Hi Leo, Thanks for reply. Actualy my client is not member of my sharepoint site .so when i sent sharepoint documnet by mail to my client and whenever he open the document from there side, he get the user name and password pop-up ,he just click on cancel but its reapper many times and after many times he press cancel button then he get the acces the document. client are access the document from the outside of the our domain. And you suggest that delete the connections settings in the email please let me know how to delete connections settings from the email and its work? Please help Thanks Sanjeev Tiwari

Hi Thanks to follow up this issue. You may go to outlook to find the contact menu, select this, in the contact history, you can delete the very email address, and then it will not pop up. Hope this could help! Leo
