Sharepoint custom sort

Hi All,

Is it possible to add a custom sort in SharePoint 2013 custom list, like a custom sort in excel?

Thank you

There is a custom sort ordering option available for lists in both Sharepoint 2010 and 2013.

-          For 2010: /_layouts/Reorder.aspx?List={ListGUID}

-          For 2013: /_layouts/15/Reorder.aspx?List={ListGUID}

Let me know if this works for you.

Hi,

You can also edit the view and sort upto two columns as shown in below screenshot.

or refer to the following link to sort or filter the list using url.

Please don't forget to mark it answered, if your problem resolved or helpful.

Vivaan,

Sorry there is no such option available in SharePoint Out of Box.  If you need something similar, you need to create the custom solution.

I have implemented this for publishing pages document library but when you re-order the pages the correct order is not assigned to the page.

For example the publishing pages initially are assign the following order numbers.

page A is 100

Page B is 200

Page C is 300

when you select re-order and you move all the pages the numbers all become the same number.

Page A is 150

Page B is 150

Page C is 150

when you create a new page E it will be 400.
