Sharepoint content deployment: The remote upload Web request failed.
I have the path and job configured to deploy content from the Authoring server to the Live server, which is located on a different domain. When I run the reployment job, 4040 objects are exported but nothing is imported on the target and after a few minutes I get "Content deployment job 'Full Deploy' failed. The remote upload Web request failed."Any ideas as to what could cause this? This content deployment feature is pretty worthless, I've had nothing but problems trying to get it going...

I finally tracked this issue down to a server name problem. Thanks to Sren Nielsen's excellent blog, I was able to setup a new host the deployment proceeded without any problems.View the solution to this problem and many other content deployment problems here

Check the disk space. If you are running low on disk space, you will ge this error message.

re:a) The age of a post does not say anything about the value of the contents. re:b) The original poster did find a solution that worked in his case. However the information contained in the comment you are referring to actually seems to be a match in my current situation. In my experience, a non-specific error message such as the one in question could possibly be caused by more than one thing. Otherwise it would have been more specific as to the nature of the issue.
