To take the easiest reason first. Do you have at least 1GB allocated to your VM (or free memory on your server/PC after the graphics card has possibly taken a chunk) ? Hi Mike, Thanks for your reply. This machine has 2 GB RAM and has more than 1 GB VM free as of now.

Ok, I picked up the installer as above, and it required another stuff - WSS SP2 to be installed. After installing WSS SP2 the Office Server SP2 installation failed. I still tried to run the config wizard for Sharepoint, this time I got the following: The B2B upgrader timer job failed. --- --- Task upgrade has failed with a PostSetupConfigurationTaskException An exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.PostSetupConfigurationTaskException was thrown. Additional exception information: Failed to upgrade SharePoint Products and Technologies.
