Sharepoint as catalogue

Hello there,

I'm a very basic user of Sharepoint and need some help on my idea. Basically I was thinking to start using Sharepoint as "catalogue". Let's say I will be storing a user requests on Sharepoint and process those. My question is what is the best way to structure the Sharepoint site.

Imagine I have the products category like: "Hats", "Shirts", "Trousers". But for each I have sub-types like "Shirts - Long sleeves", "Shirts - Short sleeves". For each sub-type I need a form with specific columns (will differ from each other). At the end I might end up having 100 sub-types.

What do you think is the best way to structure the site?

Thank you for ideas!

Lukas

Hello Lukas,

You can create two separate lists and make one of then as lookup list. Here is good ref site for you:
