Sharepoint and Group Calendars
We are migrating from Lotus Notes to Exchange and have a question about group calendars. We have numerous individuals in different departments and want to create group calendars for each department. Currently, we can do that in Lotus Notes. I understand that we can utilize Sharepoint and have a group calendar and update the group calendar and it will update the local outlook 2007 calendar but what about the other way around. We want to update our personal calendars and have it update the sharepoint calendar. Is that possible? If so, how do you do it. Thanks.

Its very much possible in SharePoint & Outlook 2010. You can integrate outlook and SharePoint in just a few clicks. All you need to do is, Open your SharePoint group calendar. If you are showing the resources in the left column please reduce the number of resources into one. Because you cannot to the synchronization with more than one resources to work offline. Once you do that,\ * In the calendar tab you can find an icon called "Connect to Outlook" just click on it and allow it to integrate. * Now if you open your outlook calendar section you can find a new calendar added under the "Other Calendars" group. Just check that and update your bookings. It will get updated to your SharePoint calendar and vice versa.Vijayaragavan, MCTS
