Hi. Have recently been migrated to SP2013 and have above issue.  I have a simple list with a number of columns that are of "People or Groups" type that each choose from a SP group.  The people in the SP group have names in the form of either

1) <First name> <Last name>

2) <First name> <Middle Initial> <Last name>

There is no problem selecting the name when creating a new list entry.  However when a list entry is edited any columns that have the name in the form <First name> <Middle Initial> <Last name> are cleared.  If the entry is saved the name is lost.  The only way to edit these list entries is to re-enter the name. 

Assume that this is not normal behaviour - is there some trick or is this a known problem etc?

Thanks Trevor, much appreciated - my googling didn't turn this link up.  Guess my companies SP installation does not have current patches.  Tried with Server Render and didn't seem to work so I will play around with another list.
