Sharepoint List Item Attachment Limitation
Hi, You can use event hander for limiting number of attachments with an item. Just check the attachment count and cancel the event in case count exceeds the max. value. More information: http://www.sharepointdevwiki.com/display/public/Event+Receivers http://dhireny.blogspot.com/2010/09/how-to-check-for-attachments-in.html Hope this helps. Regards.

Hello, I am creating a workflow to approve submitted items. I used the list item in sharepoint and put the appropriate columns. However, I want to limit the attachments per item. I learned that you cannot set any attachment limitations when creating a new list item so is there a way to set the status of the item to rejected because it exceeded the number of attachments I want (e.g. 3). If this is not possible. Is there an alternate solution? Thanks.

As per my knowledge there is no maximum limit specified for the number of attachments that you can add to a SharePoint list item. But if you have a mobile view, the number of attachments displayed is limited to 3.Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |
