I have created a Sharepoint List that contains multiple columns of different types (text, choice, currency, etc). I added descriptions for most of the columns, but only a few of the descriptions are displaying on the Edit Form. It doesn't seem to matter what the column type is....as I have a description displayed for one text column but not another. Is anyone aware of any limitations to the display of the column descriptions on the Edit Form? The current platform is Sharepoint 2007.

It sounds to me like your EditForm.aspx page might have been customized with SharePoint Designer. Open the site with SPD and navigate to the list, looking for the EditForm.aspx file. If the file has an i icon next to it, it's been customized. You can reset to template to restore normal functionality IF, and only IF you are sure the customization was not needed or in error. IF your column is of type 'Multiple lines of text', then you have to select the option 'Append Changes to Existing Text' as Yes. else you wont see this in edit form.Cheers!......Regards, Aj (http://www.ajittgeorge.blogspot.com) MCTS

I have checked it and the form has not been modified.
