Question: I have a discussion board setup using MOSS 2007. I am using email to start the discussions and everything works perfect. If I use Outlook to reply to the discussion, it also works. However, we need the users to reply to the email with certain information and they only way the users can reply is via thier blackberry.I had a brilliant idea that in the email sent to the user, i could attach a mailto that looks like this: <a href='mailto:discussionlist@server.com?In-Reply- To=discussionlist@server.com&Mail-Followup-To=discussionlist@server.com&SUBJECT=RE: discussionboardtopic&BODY=contactedUser:'>Confirm Reply</a>this way the user can click the url link and blackberry will open up a new email message with the body populated with some default text. When the email is sent to the server, it posts as a new discussion and not a reply. Is there a way i can have this email sent to the discussion board as a reply to the original email?suz

I know it's been awhile since you posted this email but have you found a suitable solution. If not, and you still need it, I have just the solution for you. We needed a workflow to function in the same way. Let me know.

try giving it more information like the board name, the post name which will be replied to and the the person who posted maybe it can recognize the entry as a reply then
