Sharepoint 2013 Read a Word Document from a list, search and replace data in the document then upload to another list in JS using SCOM

Hi, I am fairly new to JavaScript, SharePoint and CSOM, but have a requirement to read a template word document from one sharepoint list, do a search replace over the document with data from a third list, and then save the document back into a different sharepoint list. I can get the content to search and replace from list items in JavaScript, but cannot find out how to read a template doc from a list, do the processing and upload to another site list. Any pointers or help much appreciated.
