I have creted a blog, where i have 5 categories... i want that whenever a user creats a post it shud come to the prementioned category wise approver for approval User posts a response on a blog topic Post is not visible until it is approved Mail should be flowed to the approver for approving the post Post is reviewed by Approver Post reviewed and status updated: Approved - Post becomes visible, poster is notified; Rejected - Post is not visible, poster is notified

One way to do that would be through workflows (SP-Designer). Create a reference list with columns for category and approver(s). Maintain the approvers per category here. Then use a SPD workflow to lookup the approver when a new blog item is created and create an approval taks (collect data from a user). Maybe create an approval-view and refer to it with a link. The set the approval status for the blog item in regards to the approvers data from the above mentioned approval task. In the Sharepoint standard there is no way to achieve that in a simple way, because the category column is just a metadata column for the blog item. You may also try out the standard Approval-workflow from Sharepoint. But the blog item creator would have to fill in the approver manually.
