Sharepoint 2007 move
As error message shows...! I think you have created site in Central Administration. This site is only for the Sharepoint administration not for the development purpose. You should do all your activity like creating list library, creating pages, modifying page layouts etc... in the custom site collection. This web application will be automatically created when you install/configure the SharePoint. First you need to create web application through central administration site then create Site Collection again using Central Admin site in newly created web app. I suggest you to first read some articles about SharePoint please before doing any thing. -Pawan

Hello, You can enable publishing feature on your site (Site actions -> Site settings -> site features) Upload the page to pages library and its on sharepoint. :). Also you can set this page as default landing page for your site. Hope that answers your question. Regards, Rohan http://sharepointadmin4u.wordpress.com

Hello, I believe I was not clear and you misunderstood me. You need to upload the page by going to the library on the site. To see all the libraries, modify URL to /sites/YourSite.../_layouts/viewlsts.aspx?BaseType=1 Activation of publishing feature is required if you want to set any other page as default landing page rather than the standard default.aspx. hthRegards, Rohan http://sharepointadmin4u.wordpress.com

Hi Anandan, there are two separate pages for the feature to activate. Firstly: you need to activate "Office SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" from the "Site Collection Features" page (this page contains all site collection level features)Secondly: Now you can activate "Office SharePoint Server Publishing" from the "Site Features" page (site level features) -Pawan
