Have a website built in Sharepoint 2007 and have had zero problems for the past year making updates, sometimes numerous times a day. On Wednesday, I spent a good part of the day making updates as I normally do and thought everything was fine. Went onto my site on Thursday and was unable to access it. Refreshed my browser and it came through. Couple minutes later, went to another page on my site and the design/layout was all strange. Refreshed, went back to normal, refreshed, then I couldn't access it, refreshed, weird format, refresh, normal, refresh, weird layout, refresh, can't access.....you get the picture. I have had a few other people test out the site and they have the same problems. Additionally, I have had a hard time accessing Sharepoint and my web files on the back end throughout the day - sometimes it lets me log on, other times it says I don't have authentication. I am assuming there is something wrong with Sharepoint, my server, etc I am the first to admit that I don't know too much about websites and have learned alot of this on my own. I had someone create the website for me, upload, etc and I basically do all the updates minus anything that has to do with dsign, css, etc My web guy is out of the country otherwise I would be asking him. I hope someone can help me figure this out - help walk me through a solution. Since the website is my business, its hurting me! When I can't access the site I get the following message: You are not authorized to view this page You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. Please try the following: Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page. Click the Refresh button to try again with different credentials. HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. Internet Information Services (IIS) Technical Information (for support personnel) Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 401. Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Authentication, Access Control, and About Custom Error Messages.
