Sharepoint 2007 Error
Hello, Just completed a deployment of sharepoint 2007 with sp3 on windows server 2008 r2 where database server is on another box (sql2008 ). When i want to checkin on a document i receive the following error. Although opening the document is always successful we cannot overcome the checkin error. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hi, You can start the troubleshooting from two places. First place to reach out is the Windows Event Log. You can open it in various ways. Type "eventvwr" in run dialog box and then go to the application error section and look for the warnings and errors. See if you find any additional clues. If this does not help, the other place to look in for is the diagnostic logs. Please open this log in a text editor like notepad and check for some error. There will be a lot of entries in this file. Look for something that has a timestamp close to when the error is happening. Is this happening on a out of box site collection? Thanks, Soumya | MCITP, SharePoint 2010

Hi, From your error message, the cause could be incorrect Alternate Access Mappings and WebDAV 7.5 for IIS. Please double check if the AAM settings are correct. Then verify if you install WebDAV 7.5 for IIS, if so, remove it, test again. More Information: ozgurc, here are several good articles which I thought might be useful for you. Configure alternate access mapping http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263208(office.12).aspx Plan alternate access mappings (Office SharePoint Server) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261814(office.12).aspx Thanks, Rock Wang Forum Support Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
