Hi Murthy, It's a good idea when requesting help to give a little background to your SharePoint environment. I want to ask if you have a single box machine setup or a farm? However, you can do this so as to get back on track with your backup: Open the command prompt and type iisreset /noforce Let me know if it resolves the problem. N.X.O.J

Hi, Sad that you are stuck in there. Use this command BUT run it from this path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Bin So, this is the full item C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Bin\>stsadm.exe -o execadmsvcjobs Then, run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Bin\>net stop "windows sharepoint services timer" Include the quote. The run the syntax below: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Bin\>iisreset /noforce Hope this helps this time around.N.X.O.J
