Sharepoint 2007 - IIS 6

Hi

We have a Sharepoint 2007 environment with IIS 6.0.

We have a app pool called A which you expand does not have any content i.e. root, _layouts/images, _layouts/inc.

We have another app pool called B which you expand and has the content i.e. root etc.

I need to move the content mentioned above from B to A as this is the correct app pool.

I am wondering if I go the web site which is currently using app pool B and go to the Home Directory and change the app pool to A.

Will this then move the root, _layouts/images, _layouts/inc from B to A or do I need to do something else?

hi Bob10202124,

regarding the path that perhaps you hardcoded them, actually may i ask if you add the resource or you edit the resource?

each site should have its own virtual directory, so if you need the custom files to be added to the virtual directory.

if you have a development stage, i strongly suggest that you can try to extend the site, and do add the resource, you can open the IIS, then open the explorer for the virtual directory, try to copy and paste it.

regarding this, i think you select to extend the site by not using the same IIS pool, so it create new pool with new standard files. because of this you may need to do some setting based on your environment that you want.
