Sharepoint 2007 - Change From Windows Authentication to Database Authentication
Trying to synchronise the structure of our environments. Our Production external website sits in the DMZ and uses Database Authentication whereas our Test and Dev site are within our network and have been setup to use Windows Autrhentication. I am trying to change this but I am not sure what steps to take in Central Admin. I have mirriorred the Logins and Roles on the SQL Server database. It is the final link up that's giving me problems. I can't find any informative instructions on what steps I need to take.

Hi there. Are you looking for Central Administration -> Operations -> Default database server? There you can set username and password if you are using SQL Server authentication. Hope this helps. Regards, MagnusMy blog: InsomniacGeek.com

Hi Kakapo, Beside Magnus’ suggestion, you could also try to remove the content database from Central Administration > Application Management > Content Databases and attach it back using SQL Server Authentication. Please feel free the operation will not delete the content database from your SQL Server. Hope the information can be helpful.
