I have a SharePoint site collection which runs on WSS 3.0. The server has 5GB Ram and 5 GB free disk space in hard disk (c drive). Always the site is loading very slowly. It is hanging too. I had reset the IIS and it is working fine and after some time, it is hanging and not loading. I could see a log in the event viewer as follows: Event Type : Error Event Source :Windows SharePoint Services 3 Event Category:General Event ID : 6875 Description: Error loading and running event receiver EventReciever in EventRecieverName, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral. Additional information is below. : Server Out Of Memory There is no memory on the server to run your program. Please contact your administrator with this problem. 1) From the task manager check how much memory is consumed by OWSTimer job and w3wp. 2) And in the Uls log try to see if there is any memory leak happening due to any component of your site. 3) Check if there is any DB lock occuring in the back end. How big is your site ? is it in a separate application pool or sharing with an existing one.
