SharePoint integration with SAP

Hi,

I have got a requirement to integrate SharePoint with SAP.

Integration details

1. Pull invoice details from SAP and display it on SharePoint.

2. Post payment received in SAP from SharePoint.

3. Create Customer account in SAP.

4. Create a notification in SAP from SharePoint.

We have a budget constraint and therefore can't go for Duet Enterprise.

What we where thinking is to call SAP RFC from SharePoint and accomplished the above task.

Please advise what is the best way forward for integration of SharePoint with SAP for the above tasks.

Thanks

Hi Khan,

Try the below link for your requirement 1 and 2

http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/102453/How-to-Integrate-SAP-Business-Data-Into-SharePoint

for your 3 and 4 requirement make sure you have create Remote Function Call using ABAP in SAP, if provided then you can use the same approach.

Thanks

Thanks Shakir for the reply,

Does your suggestion require any additional licenses.

SharePoint version is a Standard version and below is SAP details

SAP: ECC 6.0 Ehp 5

Oracle: 10.2

OS: Linux 5 64 Bit

Please let me know if we require any licences to implement your suggestion.

Hi Mohammed,

Based on you description, my understanding is that you need write your custom Remote Function Call (RFP) using ABAP which is a technical module of SAP, transaction code to create RFC - SE37,  I don't thing you need any additional license for this.

Calling RFC of SAP doesn't require any licences?

and with respect to SharePoint does Business Data Connectivity Model require any licences?

Thanks

Hi,

If you are using SAP ECC 6.0, I am sure you don't need any licence to develop your RFC and with regarding SharePoint BDC, which flavor of SharePoint you are using?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply,

We are using Standard version of SharePoint, will we able to use BDC if not then can we use "sapnco.dll" and "sapnco_utils.dll" to connect to SAP.

one more concern is whether we need any licence to connect to SAP from SharePoint.
