I have a SharePoint online subscription, i tried to connect to Sites using SharePoint designer 2013 on windows 8.1, i failed until i downloaded and installed SharePoinr Designer sp1, then i succeded.

Now i have Windows 10, same issue i cannot connect to SharePoint Online using SharePoint designer 2013, i download SPD 2013 sp, tried to install it, i gives an error saying that a prerequisit should be installed as if i dont have SharePoint designer already installed.

The problem is that i cannot install SPD 2013 sp1 on windows 10.

any help ?

According to your post, you cannot access SharePoint online site in SharePoint designer 2013.

Per my test, I can open SharePoint online site from SharePoint Designer 2013 on windows 10. Also I can install SPD 2013 sp1 on windows 10.

I recommend to check your permission in that web site, ensure you have permission to open that web site in SharePoint Designer.

Go to Site Permissions > Permission Level in ribbon > Click the permission you belongs to > Ensure Use Remote Interfaces is selected.

Checking whether you have installed SPD successfully.

Uninstall SPD and install it again. (make sure you have installed the same version with your computer)

Then installing SPD 2103 sp1, after installing SPD 2013 sp1 on windows, restart the server.
