Never post a question on the same matter to more than one forum. It wastes everyone's time I have deleted your duplicate post with the same Title sent to the Programming forum (where it was in any case off-topic) (Moderator) P.S. "Hi Dears" is a very strange phrase to the majority of the people here. FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.

This is very strange, I came over here looking for an answer, and I ended up with very strange words from you Mike. First I knew that I made a mistake when I put my question off-topic, cause I’m looking for quick answer and could not determine to which topic it belongs actually, and I’m so sorry for this, really I’m so sorry. But I noticed that many of the people right here is starting their questions with “Hi Dears, Hi all….. whatever”, and its not a big deal to put down your comments on such thing and in such very negative manner.

>But I noticed that many of the people right here is starting their questions with “Hi Dears, Hi all….. whatever”, and its not a big deal to put down your >comments on such thing and in such very negative manner. The "Hi Dears" comment was intended to be friendly. For native English speakers this is a very strange way of starting a post. "Hi all" is neutral. "Hi Dears" is just odd. The other was to warn you not to post your question to more than one forum. This is incorrect behavior and it is the job of the Moderator to both delete duplicate posts and it is also the job of the Moderator to ask the poster of duplicate posts not to do it again. Mike Walsh (still Moderator last time I looked) 2010 Books: SPF 2010; SPS 2010; SPD 2010; InfoPath 2010; Workflow etc. 2007 Books: WSS 3.0; MOSS 2007; SPD 2007; InfoPath 2007; PerformancePoint; SSRS; Workflow Both lists also include books in French; German; Spanish with even more languages in the 2007 list.

Hi, Background: Best practice appears to be to take the theme closest to the one you want, make a copy, and customize that. The theme most resembling our company color palette is the default theme. Theme files (css, images, etc) are located in \Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\THEMES\ but there is no folder named DEFAULT. Question: what is the location of the default theme files? Thank you.
