SharePoint calendar - synching to Outlook issue
Hi - We have a sharepoint calendar that many of our companies users have synched to outlook to view there. Recently many of the calendar entries were edited and updated. For some users the calendar updates synched to Outlook and for some users
the updates did not synch - therefore the users were not aware of any changes made to the calendar.
If I create a new calendar entry those do synch it is the only the modified/edited entries that do not synch up.
I have deleted the calendar in outlook and connected the calendar to outlook again all the edited calendar entries show up. But if I go to another entry on the sharepoint calendar and update it - it does not synch to outlook.
Again only new calendar entries will synch up to outlook.
All users are on XP Operating system, Outlook 2007, and SharePoint MOSS.
Help!

Hi Merunnerme,
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft TechNet forum!
From your post, my understanding on this issue is: You can’t sync the modified item in SharePoint calendar into Outlook 2007. If I'm off base, please feel free
to let me know.
Start Outlook in Safe mode (Click Start > Run type: Outlook.exe /safe ), browse to the Calendar List and synchronized with Outlook and check the effect.
What is your Outlook version? If you don’t install Outlook 2007 SP2, please install it and then check the effect.
The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Do you see the issue when you link to the SharePoint Calendar from another machine that has never connected to the Calendar list before? Or delete current Outlook
profile, recreate a new one, and check the effect.

Are your Outlook working in cached mode? If so, change to online mode, and check the effect.
If the steps above can’t resolve your issue, enable SharePoint synchronization logging by utilizing the following registry:
Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
DWORD: EnableWSSSyncLogging
Values: 1 = logging enabled.
And then open the SharePoint site, navigate to the calendar, click Action-Connect to Outlook, you can find the SharePoint synchronization log files in the %Temp% folder
and they have the following naming convention:
#-wss-sync-log.htm
{UID}-#-wss-response.xml
{UID}-#-wss-syncitems.xml
{UID}-#-wss-errors.xml
Post the information in #-wss-sync-log.htm into the forum for further research.

I know this Qestion has been answered. But I am confuse. When I sync outlook 2010 with SP calendar 2010, the login name always fail.
I use the same account and pw. So, how shall I configure an new account to to sync outlook and SP Calendar?
BTW, I don't see "%Temp%" in the sync address, and anyone give a further explanation?
