SharePoint audit doesn't log user access to older file version
Hi, I encountered a strange behavior in SharePoint 2007. When a user views an old version of a file the action is not audited. When the same user views the current version the operation is audited. there a way to overcome this behavior and also log a user who views an older version of a file? Thanks in advance, Tsvika

I would have to confirm with an independent test, but if this is the case, then only a custom HTTP handler would suffice which litterally logs every request. SharePoint logging takes place at the Object Model level so if that execution path doesn't have logging on it, the only way to get it to work is for Microsoft to produce a patch for it. I would try and submit this as a bug to the product team. It sounds like a bug to me.I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog

Thanks Cornelius! I hoped I could use something else other than modifying the HTTP handler, but I guess that's the only way. Thanks again Tsvika
